Ram’s Return creates photo opp…

To celebrate the 125th anniversary of Ogden Harrogate, one of the finest jewellery firms in the UK, we helped to track down this beautifully crafted silver gilt ram which was originally created in their Harrogate workshop in the 1930’s. This unique piece is on loan from the London based Worshipful Company of Weavers and its return to Yorkshire soil was an ideal excuse for a PR press photo opportunity.

The large ram, valued at £60,000, is realistically modelled and stands on an oblong grass plinth supported on an ebonised wooden base.  The inscription reads “Presented to the Worshipful Weavers’ Company By the Rt. Hon. Lord Illingworth of Denton JPC on the occasion of their Octocentenary AD 1130 to AD 1930” Lord Illingworth, a longstanding client of Ogden of Harrogate, came from an old Yorkshire family and served as Postmaster General under David Lloyd George, rising to a peerage in 1921.

The Silver Ram will be on display in Ogden Harrogate, 38 James St, Harrogate HG1 1RQ from Wed 25 April until Saturday 5th May. This is a special event which marks the 125th anniversary of their founding.

PR Photo Shoot

Very impressed with the results of a photoshoot we organised earlier in the week with photographer Tim Hardy. Great photography is essential for your brand image and we think these reflect the luxury Yorkshire brand Ogden of Harrogate perfectly. A professional photo shoot is more affordable than many people realise and is definitely worth the investment.

Art in the News

Lovely to see lots of northern artists in the news. I think this is a great photo by York Press Photographer of artist Harriet McKenzie, one of the artists taking part in York Open Studios this year. I’m looking forward to exploring some of the studios this weekend…http://www.yorkpress.co.uk/news/15231182.Artists_line_up_for_York_Open_Studio_weekends_2017/?ref=rl&lp=5
